Market Picks

From the last couple of Saturdays.

Wall of Big Beef tomatoes.

Bunny ears.

Delicious varieties you wont find in your grocery store.

Italian sweet peppers.

What a fig should look like when it is ready to eat. (I didn't know this about figs)

Such an exotic looking fruit.

The morning sun.

Sweet peppers and tomatoes.

Pole beans.

My goodness! Everything looks so good ☺ Living in the Midwest, I have NEVER seen an actual fig... and the only ones I have ever eaten are in Newtons! LOL I made a homemade pizza tonight with sauce that I canned from fresh Romas, fresh basil, oregano, garlic, and some salt. SOOO good!

(I need to read back into your archives, I know... but do you run a stand or just go to the market? I notice you often have pics of such fresh goodies!)

Actually, I work at a farmer's market in town for a local organic farmer. I help set up the booth and then sell all the wonderful produce. The best part is that I also get to bring it home!

Dang, I miss the market so much. I just now realized that it's Saturday and I missed another one. Those peppers are totally calling to me.

. . . What in the world possessed that tomato to grow that way?!
