Progress
The kindergarten quilts are coming along. The artwork has been printed onto the fabric and the fabric is cut and ready for sewing.
There has been a lot of work getting to this point, there were 48 images to scan, material to prep and then cut. Then came the printing, washing and more cutting. It is very exciting laying them out and getting to see the work coming together. The auction is in about 4 weeks, must get sewing!

That is such a huge undertaking! I can't wait to see it finished.
I wish fabric printing in any form was around when Diane was growng up. Would have been a great way to preserve her drawings. I tried embroidered versions with intent to quilt together - that lasted through two pictures! The size quilt I had in mind would have taken 10 years!
I am so excited to see this project completed.
wow!!! I can't wait to see the final piece!
Awesome! You are doing super :-) I was just reading the instructions for the process... did you use an ink fixative on the fabric before printing on it? If so, where did you get it and how much did it cost? I can't believe how fun this idea is...like my own personal, in-home Spoonflower!!
Wow..nice project. I would love to learn how to quilt and great idea that you have there. I would love to use that idea with my kids drawings and incorporate that into a quilt for each of them (another project to add to my list of ideas!?!?) but need to learn how to quilt first! Show us an image when you have it done, excited to see what the finished project will look like!
